A lost gem from the 90s
Can you rule a galaxy? In this retro style strategic simulation, the first game by the founders of Deck13, you can prove your strategic skills! Travel the stars, claim uninhabited planets or conquer them from your computer opponents. Exodus was first released on the Acorn RISCOS platform back in 1997! This first-time PC port is your ultimate chance to relive the experience, as an enhanced edition with more than 60 little improvements.
Exodus was unavailable to the retro gamer and strategy crowd as it was playable only on an almost forgotten computer platform. But now it’s been brought back to life with a comprehensive PC port, created by developer Tom Pickering. It features an original soundtrack by renowned Acorn composer Thomas Mohr. The enhanced features were created together with Jan Klose from the original 90’s Artex team.

Description
Exodus: The Colonization of Space is a strategic simulation originally created in 1997 by then-developer Artex Software. It was the first commercial game of the young company whose founders would later move on to found the developer Deck13. Having returned as a publisher, Exoudus is… again the first title that’s being released!
The pixely 256-color game focuses on founding a new civilization in space after earth was abandoned. The players colonize planets, deal with (or fight against) up to 14 computer opponents. They build up the surface of their planets, make laws for their people, trade with neighboring planets and fend off mean space pirates. There are turn-based battles, a science tree, and endless possibilities to build a pixel galaxy… or fail trying.
Exodus is a true retro game but has been brought into the 21st century with over 60 gameplay improvements and features like autosave and keyboard shortcuts. As it was originally released on the Acorn Archimedes, few retro gamers have ever played this little gem… Now is your chance!
